Gift Bag Inspired

DSCN6369

DSCN6366 My daughter had a birthday party to go to this weekend and I forgot to pick up a card for her.  YES, I did say buy a card.  I have so little time to stamp now that I'm not going to spend it making a card for a six-year old that we don't hardly even know, just so that she can throw it away.  BUT, I ended up making her one anyway so I tried to keep it simple.  I based it on the bag you see to the right.  In real life, that wavy line is Kiwi Kiss on the bag - it runs along the pink top of the bag.  The "yellow" on the bag is more of a lime too - I couldn't get the colors to look right even after editing.  So, my card really does coordinate perfectly with the bag in real life ;)  Hope you like it!!!  We'll see you back here in a few days!!

All supplies used are SU! unless otherwise noted.

Stamps:  Petal , Hugs & Wishes
Paper:  Kiwi Kiss, Pink Passion and Whisper White CS
Ink: Kiwi Kiss and Pink Passion classic ink, Black StazOn, VersaMark
Accessories:  Clear Rhinestone Sticker (Me & My Big Ideas - Michael's), Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Paper Piercing Tool and Template, Stampin' Dimensionals, White ep, heat tool

  1. Beautiful Marie! Even if the six year old didn't appreciate it, us papercrafters certainly do! Great job coordinating it with the gift bag! :-)

  2. This is cute Marie! I try to do the same too. My kids attended a bday party this weekend as well but didn't make the card & bag coordinated. No time! LOL.

  3. Marie ... this is so cute and matches the bag perfectly! If the 6-year old didn't appreciate the card I know your daughter was excited that mom made a card for her friend (your kids are cute and thoughtful)!

  4. First of all, wonderful card and bag! Second, thank you for the info regarding magnetix. I had them up, they're my 8 year olds and I don't know how my 4 year old got into them...although you might think 4 is a bit old for sticking things up your nose. Hah! Thanks again.

  5. Great interpretation of the bag. What fun colors too! I bet the mom really liked the card even if the 6 year old didn't know that really was the gift not what was in the bag!!!! ;)
