I just wanted to let everyone know that the stamping event I held today at the base went wonderfully! Many people came (I don't have the sign-in list to know for sure) and enjoyed some drinks and yummy sandwiches provided by the Airmen and Family Readiness Center (I hope I have the name right - the AF changed their name from Family Support Center recently) and got to do some stamping and relax over their lunch break. A few people brought their kids (see the pictures below for proof) who did some stamping too, and overall I think that the 19 deployed Airmen from Laughlin are really going to feel the love from the base when they receive their care packages with the Halloween treats and cards from us. They will each get a Halloween card just for them, from all of us at Laughlin, and then a bundle of blank "thinking of you" and holiday cards to send back to loved ones. I know the cards are more simple than I normally make, but I had to have cards that anyone who had never even seen a stamp could duplicate. The sponging was a little hard for some of them, but overall I think everything was a hit and I love to stamp for a cause!! I was so surprised that even a few AirMEN actually came to stamp some cards for their fellow comrades today. It was great!!!Take care!
***Please note that after switching from several different hosts before settling on Blogger, the formatting of my pictures may not be as it was originally intended. I simply don't have the time to go back through years of posts in order to fix the orientation of the pictures. Sometimes a picture just shows a box of text in its place, but clicking on it will allow you to see the picture. Others, there may be no picture at all. I apologize.***
