I miss Emma!

My oldest daughter has been with her grandparents since the 31st of December. I will not see her until we get our orders so that we can move out of this house and they are taking forever!! I am hoping to join Emma with my other 2 kids in them middle of February. My DH will remain here in Del Rio to finish out some training and then he will move to Oklahoma for four more months of training before we all meet up at our new house in Delaware in the middle or so of July.

Stamps: Doodle Alphabet (retired) Paper: Pretty in Pink paper from Hostess Level I Prints Pack, Shimmery White CS, Certainly Celery CS Ink: Black StazOn, assorted SU! markers Accessories: Regal Rose 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Sticky Cut Letters, Fine Cosmo glitter in Rose Pink

Anyway, I made Emma this card (above) to send with a package of some goodies to let her know (besides calling her 2-3 times every day) how much we miss her and can't wait to see her. I tried to make a card that Kristina would perhaps be able to confuse for her own. :) As for Emma, it's difficult to be apart, but she is having a BLAST at school (the same school I attended when I was young) and is doing really well under the Montessori method. She doesn't miss us that much because she is so busy and having so much fun, and OF COURSE she's getting spoiled by her grandparents and Auntie... :) To the left is a close up of the card. Emma LOVES pink, so I made sure each letter had some pink in it, and while the glitter on the "u" doesn't match well, it still met the criteria of being pink and I really wanted to try out my new Sticky Cut Letters from SU! with the accompanying glitter. I LOVE THEM!!!! The CS portion that is stamped on and has the ribbon is mounted on the Certainly Celery with dimensionals, but I couldn't get a good picture of that.

This picture to the right is a close up of the Shimmery White CS. I love to show how the paper does in fact shimmer when you look at it at the right angle. I also thought it was neat to see the glitter that I put on the flower over the "i". Close-ups are fun to do!

The picture below this is of the gift I made for a friend using Beate's WSC #31. I thought it was the perfect layout for this address book. I love making altered address books, especially with this set because I feel like the sentiment is just right for an address book. Too bad making them is so time-intensive (if you want it to be sturdy, I guess)! Anyway, enjoy and until next time (not sure when that will be - don't forget to subscribe so you will know!!). Happy stampin' and best wishes!! Here's the actual address book:

To the left is a close up of the Shimmery White CS and part of the stamped image. A note about the project - the Shimmery White layer of CS with the flower image is mounted on dimensionals on top of the Perfect Plum CS and the entire 3 layers of the sentiment image are mounted on dimensionals on top of the strip of Artichoke and Plum CS. Hopefully this makes sense!
Stamps: True Friend Paper: Always Artichoke Prints DS paper, Always Artichoke, Perfect Plum and Shimmery White CS Ink: Always Artichoke, Pale Plum, and Perfect Plum SU! markers
Accessories: "Olive" organdy ribbon (retired) - matches Artichoke well, "Elegant Eggplant" 1/4" grosgrain - goes well with Perfect Plum, White Taffeta ribbon, Pewter Jumbo Eyelets, Ice Circle Rhinestone Brads in Pale Plum color, Crop-a-Dile, Dimensionals
