Take Three

This card is another of the four cards I made with my friend Christina the other day. It probably took the longest to make out of the 4 because we just couldn't decide on a layout. Originally, I was going to have the stamped image at the bottom of the top third of the card (there's this thing about dividing your card into 3rds and every now and then I actually remember to try that! LOL) with the strip of patterned paper beneath it in two pieces, sticking out at the top and bottom of the image, kind of like an "H" if that makes sense? There was no plan for ribbon in that layout. Well, I decided that my background (Well-Worn Words) had stamped such a nice flower up on the top half of the card that I didn't want to hide it with my stamped image. SO...I decided to put the image on the bottom, but didn't like the "H" layout down there, so this is what I did instead. I put the layout in the bottom third of the card, and added some ribbon, and took my patterned paper (would you believe that this strip is off of one of the sides of DS paper in the Petals & Paisleys pack? It's on that piece that has a bunch of random patterns and colors on it. I wasn't sure what to do with that piece, but now I think I'll use each obvious pattern as it's own piece and put it on my cards, like this one. I hope you can see the stamped background!!! Here's the info on the card:

Stamp Sets: Well-Worn Words, Take Three
Card Stock: Rose Red, Regal Rose, Petals & Paisleys DS paper pack, Whisper White
Ink: Regal Rose classic ink, Regal Rose and Rose Red markers
Accessories: Rich Regals brads, Rose grosgrain, piercing tool to place brads, dimensionals
