***Please note that after switching from several different hosts before settling on Blogger, the formatting of my pictures may not be as it was originally intended. I simply don't have the time to go back through years of posts in order to fix the orientation of the pictures. November 13, 2009

I hope to post soon.  I have a couple of cards that I haven't shown you - but neither were completed recently.  Unfortunately my me/crafting time has been nil.  Anyway - to update you on the big decision I recently made - with lots of thought and prayer, I decided to resign as a SU! demonstrator effective February 1st (my last round of Stamps in the Mail is in January).  It really is what will be best for my family and also myself.  I am very at peace with the decision.  It does mean that this blog may become obsolete at that point, or even before, but know that whatever happens, I have really enjoyed "meeting" all of you.  I wish that moving around in the military was more conducive to being a demonstrator.  If I could have just stayed in Texas, all would be well and fine, but that's not how it is.  So, again, thank you for everything and hopefully in the next couple of days I'll get something actually interesting up on my blog for you to see :)

  1. Marie, don't worry about this blog becoming obsolete. You can always post the things that you are able to make just for fun or maybe even things that you receive as gifts. Or turn it into an insiprational blog of musings from you. I love the way that you look at life and you have said many things to me that inspire me and help me get through the day to day rigamorle.(sp?)

I hope that all is well with you and I look forward to keeping in touch even if we don't share the same business. (I hate change like this)!!!!!!

    Love you girl.

  2. Marie ~ Sorry to hear you are giving up your SU demoship. I too am facing the big decision to do the same. The fledgling economy has hit my area big time and my customers simply can't spend on "luxury" items. Please stay in touch through your blog as I am sure we all want to see that which you have time to create. Wishing you well.

  3. Marie, You know that we are all going to miss you alot! You have been such an inspiration to the "Texas Gals"! Me specifically. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you are going to be able to keep up your blog! I always love to see pictures of the children and also the neat stuff you create!

  4. Stampin Up is loosing a real talent! I too am facing the same decision. I have lost all my business due to the economy and am having to meet my minimums myself. I have no upline or support.
Your blog has always inspired me more than you will ever know! If you do decide to let it go I will miss you, but understand. I hope to still be able to view your creations through Splitcoast maybe.
Be well and take care of yourself. You have AMAZING TALENT!! May God continue to bless you and yours!

  5. i will miss all of your inspiration marie! i've been following your blog for a long time now and i will miss you. perhaps you can keep it and post just when you have the time! i signed up with SU 6 months ago and it's been tough in the economy. i may have to give it up come january. they really need to "re-think" their minimum quarterly requirements! good luck with everything and enjoy your beautiful family!

  6. Been there and done that...I had to leave back in June due to the lack of customers and sales. I had alot of fun. But I know what all of you are saying. Marie, you have really helped me throught that time. I hope and pray that there is someone that will be helping you through it also. Thanks for everything that you have done for me. Your wonderful.

  7. (((((Marie)))) I am glad you're at peace with your decision....but what about us?????? lol j/k. But you will be seriously missed!! I think of you everytime I look at my sweet centers stamp set. We've been going through very trying times ourselves, but God is bringing us through it. We can now see the light at the end of the tunnel, so just hang in there kiddo, there is nothing He won't bring you through.
    Hugs and Prayers

  8. Marie,
You were the first blog I ever subscribed to and the first challenge I ever did. I feel like my best friend is going away never to be heard from again! As others have mentioned try to keep us updated on how you are doing. Post when you can, we will miss you.
Sending you prayers and best wishes...

  9. Marie you may leave SU but you will never leave behind your wonderful talent, commaraderie or the awesome friends it seems you've made. Continue your blog and who knows what will come down the road. You don't need to be a demo to continue sharing your hopes, dreams and feelings and your beautiful projects. We'll continue to tune in. You will change and so will circumstances, so hang in there girl! Best of luck.

  10. I'm with Deb and Joanie - you were one of the first blogs I subscribed to and you are such an inspiration to me. I don't care what you stamp with, you are never going to be irrelevant!

PS - I wish you were in Texas too.

Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment. I appreciate it and thank you for adding a little sunshine to my day.

Marie :)
