I simply don't have the time to go back through years of posts in order to fix the orientation of the pictures. Sketch #6 and CC209

DSCN6238

This is my card for the Card Patterns Sketch #6 that goes live today.  As always, go to CP and play along (leave a link to the post/gallery containing your card via the Mr. Linky box) for your chance to win a spot as a Guest Designer at Card Patterns and also for your chance to win a stamp set from this week's sponsor, My  Favorite Things.  That's 2 winners!!!  Make sure you go on over to CP and check out the stamp set, the sketch, and the rest of the cards that the amazing DT came up with.  Also, check out the great stamps and other products that MFT has on their website while you're at it!

I was TOTALLY inspired by this project by Diana Gibbs that she posted on her blog a while back.  I also used this past week's color challenge over at SCS, which you can see here.  The combo was Basic Black, Rose Red and Always Artichoke.  I had a lot of fun making this card and playing with the sketch.  The patterned paper behind the circle element is from an old hostess package of 6x6 SU! papers and the Rose Red button is also retired SU!, but other than that everything else used is current and from SU!.  The card is 5-1/2" x 5-1/2".

Hope you like it and I hope you'll play along and let me know!  Have a great weekend!

ETA - Sometimes the CP post with the sketch doesn't go "live" at the 8:00 am time that it is supposed to do to kinks that Michelle has to iron out, so if it's not live yet, please continue to keep checking back until it's there.  You won't want to miss it!!!

Stamps:  Friends 24-7, Friendly Words jumbo wheel
Paper:  Whisper White and Always Artichoke CS, Rose Red Prints DSP (retired SU!)
Ink:  Black StazOn ink, Rose Red, Always Artichoke and So Saffron classic ink
Accessories:  Circle Scissor Plus, Glass Cutting Mat, Blender Pens, White Taffeta ribbon, Paper Piercing Tool and Template, Rose Red button (retired), Hemp Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals, Basic Black marker (to ink sentiment)
